In the days following the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, the square – then still called Kings of Israel Square – and the surrounding buildings were covered in graffiti. Hardly a single centimeter remained untouched. Poems, slogans, and personal statements filled the walls, written in direct response to the assassination.
