NEW YORK – As polls from Brooklyn to the Bronx quieted after the morning rush, New York City was already seeing unprecedented turnout in its historic mayoral election. By of 3 P.M., about 1.45 million ballots had been cast and the total had already surpassed the number of votes cast in the entire 2021 election.
