Miriam Feirberg, the longtime mayor of the coastal Israeli city of Netanya, died Friday at 74 after a prolonged illness. A member of the Likud party, she led the city for more than 25 years, making her one of Israel’s longest-serving mayors. She is survived by her husband and two children.
