In his book “The Americans,” photographer Robert Frank captured the rifts, loneliness, racism and gaps hidden beneath the surface of the American dream. Frank’s work, with its use of photography as a mirror to society, is the main inspiration for the exhibition “In the Footsteps of Israeli Society,” on display until November 29 at the PHOTO IS:RAEL International Photography Festival in Tel Aviv.
